Full Lotus Charm

A beautiful friend's second daughter arrived on Friday last. I was inspired by my friend and her husband's faith and Krishna Consciousness to create this charming rattle for their daughter. The pod of this lotus contains a little bell. The petals can be curled in to form a closed bud then opened again. The little satin ribbon loops give baby a way to interact when the fine grasping skills are still developing. I am selling these, follow the right hand link to Etsy.

Out of the the blue here comes the next installment, JET SKI. New Zealand is a haven for water sport and as such I would be remiss to forget to include something of an aquatic theme. Hand made with delight.

Revving it up with this HOT ROD delight, a bright and classic formed vehicle ideal for little hands. For the really small tots this has the advantage of no detachable small parts the wheels are completely secured. Great tactile detail in the crushed velvet canopy. Made with love and hand stitched entirely.

As my official launch into 2010 here is a look at my rocket ships, first in the line of tuff plush toys. I have found that this was popular with friends sons as well as daughters so have tried to vary the colours. Every part of this is hand stitched with love.

A Christmas Gift

This is not likely to be a product item, but worth a show and tell. Started this when my son was a few months old and knuckled in to finish it this Christmas. I had a fantasy that the biplane should be able to have a toy sat in it, so set about mentally designing the cock pit with a flight stick and control panel with button instruments as well as the leather seat and the prop which turns (the nose cone may need a remake)
